Description
The Talsa FP30s is a latest-generation automatic hydraulic piston filler/stuffer built for processors who need accurate portioning, efficient twisting, and smoother casing handling in one compact, digital machine. Unlike the FP30e, which is designed for filling and portioning only, and unlike the FP30t, which adds an automatic digital twister, the FP30s is the version equipped with an automatic motorized casing holder for effortless portioning and twisting with maximum efficiency. Talsa specifically identifies the FP30s as the configuration for portioning + twisting + automatic casing holder, making it the most advanced configuration in the FP30 range for sausage production and other portioned filled products.
With its 30-liter barrel capacity and approximately 55 lb meat capacity, the FP30s is ideal for medium-size production where precision, fast changeovers, and reduced product waste matter. It is designed to handle synthetic, collagen, and natural casings, and its motorized casing holder helps maintain consistent twist points and uniform portions while reducing operator effort. This makes the FP30s especially attractive for operations producing sausages and similar portioned products that demand repeatability and a cleaner, more efficient workflow.
The FP30s operates in three working modes: straight filling/stuffing, portioning, and twister/linker mode. It supports single or continuous operation, includes a programmable number of portions with automatic stop, and offers a programmable fill break to help dial in product presentation and production consistency. Portion sizes range from 5 g up to 25 kg, with stated precision of ±1 g and weight calibration adjustment starting above 0.1 g, giving processors a high level of control across a wide variety of products.
For processors focused on throughput, the Talsa FP30s is built for speed. Depending on portion size, the machine can produce up to 350 portions per minute when using the automatic motorized casing holder and accelerator mode with collagen casing. Published production examples include up to 300 portions/minute at 25 g, 250 portions/minute at 50 g, 200 portions/minute at 100 g, and 150 portions/minute at 200 g. This combination of speed and accuracy helps small- to mid-sized processors improve output while still maintaining tight control over portion weights and product uniformity.
A major advantage of the FP30s is its fully digital control platform. Talsa highlights the machine’s advanced IO-Link internal communications for precise portioning, along with a large 15-inch Schneider Electric touchscreen that displays controls, alarms, diagnostics, and production data in an easy-to-use format. The software includes interactive recipes that can be stored and run directly from the screen, plus assistance systems that help operators find the most efficient settings for the desired product. For plants looking toward smarter production, the FP30s also supports Industry 4.0 digital solutions, including remote service and support access over a secure internet connection.
From a construction standpoint, the FP30s is built for food plant durability and sanitation. The frame is made entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel, internally and externally, including hardware and accessible components. Talsa also notes polished surfaces without corners, CE-radius hygienic design, double-sealed waterproof access panels, a closed machine bottom, and adjustable stainless steel anti-slip, vibration-absorbing feet. The machine is powered by a 3 HP motor with high hydraulic pressure for dense or cold products, and uses premium components from brands such as Hydac, Schneider Electric, and Balluff.
Standard delivery for the FP30s includes five nozzles/horns with outside diameters of 14, 20, 25, 30, and 43 mm, plus hydraulic oil and a piston extraction wrench. Optional equipment includes a curved nozzle/horn for filling cans, jars, or other containers, preparation for connection to an external clipping machine, and 4 stainless swivel casters with brake. The FP30s dimensions are approximately 108 cm x 124 cm x 89 cm x 80 cm x 156 cm x 124 cm depending on the measurement reference shown by Talsa, and the machine has a net weight of approximately 374 kg / 825 lbs.
For processors looking for a compact, high-precision filling system with advanced digital controls and the added benefit of automatic casing handling, the Talsa FP30s offers a strong all-in-one solution. It combines filler/stuffer, portioner, twister/linker, and automatic motorized casing holder functionality in a single machine, helping improve consistency, reduce operator fatigue, and streamline production from batch to batch. That is what sets the FP30s apart from the FP30e and FP30t.
